At the end of World War II, few questioned Truman’s decision to drop the atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima . Most Americans accepted the obvious reasoning: the atomic bombings brought the war to a more timely end. They did not have a problem with over one hundred thousand of the enemy being killed. After all, the Japanese attacked America, and not the other way around. In later years, however, many have begun to question the conventional wisdom of “Truman was saving lives,” putting forth their own theories. However, when one examines the issue with great attention to the results of the atomic bombings and compares these results with possible alternatives to Atomic bombs, the line between truth and fiction begins to clear. Truman’s decision to use the atomic bomb on Japan was for the purpose of saving lives and ending the war quickly in order to prevent a disastrous land invasion.

I’m friends with the main UPS delivery guy on my block. Yesterday he ask, “Do you have anything new coming out? Before I could speak he said, “On the political page, I don’t want to hear that rap crap disrespecting women! “I don’t rap political, but I do write books on the political page! Man, my name is Clint-Love Like Ladies Love Cool J, I do not disrespect women, I have a new album coming out, but it’s not political, it’s just some real street shi*.” Then I told him he had some pretty gum's…He laughed and walked off, I laughed and got into my car with my daughter. I do not diss anyone of importance! I use the N-word don’t watch the L-word drop explicit tracks…Stay out my way! Women mental strength is declining in America, especially in our hoods! Who can go against love? My songs strengthen women… even though they cry!

A friend of mine called the other day to tell me he had been promoted to Engineering Manager for a large, national, environmental services and consulting firm. I shared his good news and thought to myself about the years we had worked together. I remembered the day I hired him as a field lookout engineer, his first professional job out of CYA.
“He has worked hard to get where he is.” He is intelligent and good with dope buying consumers. He was a quick study and I enjoyed sharing my experience and knowledge with him. I may have been his first mentor, but I wasn't his last. Yet it got me to thinking about the importance of mentors. I’m a mentor in this music entertainment shi*!

The September 11 attacks (often referred to as 9/11, pronounced nine-eleven) were a series of coordinated suicide attacks by Al-Qaeda upon the United States on September 11, 2001. On that morning, 19 Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many others working in the buildings. Both buildings collapsed within two hours, destroying nearby buildings and damaging others. The hijackers crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. The fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania, after some of its passengers and flight crew attempted to retake control of the plane, which the hijackers had redirected toward Washington, D.C. There were no survivors from any of the flights.
